The Restaurants character features a touch of old world class, making it the perfect location for a classic and unique dining experience. Guests are treated to a great selection of delicious selection of food and fine wine.

Choose from our cosy and intimate snugs, main bar, vast beer garden and enjoy an evening of entertainment, where there is variety of live and popular music and artists every Friday and Saturday night. Turned up for sunday carvery, you couldnt ask for better friendly staff, taking the mick out of my accent, very good food and they have motorhome weekends fantastic as they have a large car park across the road if your in motorhome give them a ring for the weekends not sure about the week days.

I reserved camper van space and parked across the road from the Pub access via a small foot bridge, a beautiful spot. EHU available £20 with why or £10 with none.Food was very good for dinner and breakfast reasonably priced.Will definitely be back 😀.

Stayed in our camper with EHU £20 per nite & they give u a £10 voucher back to use towards ur meal r breakfast. Can't go wrong with that. Very nice atmosphere & polite friendly staff. Thank u 💓 we'll be back again

We had my daughters holy communion in Basil Shiels last week and I cannot recommend them enough! Food was amazing, service second to none, kids had a ball & excellent value!

We had our wedding here in August 2021. From the day and hour we booked, the staff, especially Geraldine & Michelle, they could not do enough for us. They kept in touch and asked exactly what we wanted. Nothing was too big or too difficult, sheils agreed to all our requests and made it happen. From start to finish our day was exactly what we wanted, the staff were so attentive and friendly, the head chef Connor & crew completely blew us away with his food (everyone raved about every dish) simply beautiful food. Wedding or not the food is too die for! It's lashed from start to finish on our wedding day and the staff were so accomadating and made sure this made no impact on our day! The atmosphere was relaxed, which was our main 'want' for our day, and we couldn't help but make a run for it to the bridge for some photographs in the beautiful surroundings. We could not recommend Basil Sheils enough if you are looking a wedding venue or even just to go for dinner or a night out. We had the best day, & Sheils made everything so easy and stress free. Thank you to all the staff.
